Mom and Shirley come to visit!

We finally had visitors from back home! (and I'm not talking about the two cockroaches we had during this time...those definately weren't from Utah!) Mom and Shirley arrived on October 1st and stayed through October 5th. We had a fabulous time exploring the museums of Houston (the fine arts museum, holocaust museum, & the children's museum...all in one day!). We also visited The Galleria which is a ginormous mall that even has an ice skating rink inside (that is open year round). Also near the Galleria is a giant Water Wall which was quite the spectacle! The Downtown Aquarium was one of our favorite activities of the week. We had fun seeing all the different kinds of fish, a big red octopus, touching sting rays and sharks, watching white tigers, and going on some rides. It was quite the adventure! We also had time to visit Old Town Spring which is a lot like Gardner Village back home and then spent some time with our friends Mike and Shelly Lamkin up in Tomball. We even had time to play games and listen to General Conference. What a treat!
